The Surviviors
He woke up to the sounds of silence and the smell of smoke. Namor stretched his massive paws, and yawned, his sharp teeth gleaming. The white tiger opened his mouth to taste the air. Yet, all he could taste was dread.
He was sleeping in a forest that had grown around an abandoned industrial plant. Namor remembered when the humans used to live here: they cut down trees, drove animals from their homes, and filled the refreshing air with black smoke and bright yellow embers. The stream that the animals drank from was run with oil. Fortunately, the humans left and Namor thought that all the turmoil had ended. It did, but an unfortunate aftermath
